Dr Marni Nenke (BSci, MBBS, PhD, FRACP)
Dr Marni Nenke obtained a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition) from the University of Sydney in 2003 before undertaking a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, conferred in 2007. Her basic physician training and advanced training in Endocrinology was completed at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. She became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2017. During her training she received the AR Clarkson Scholarship (RAH Research Fund) for her PhD studies with the University of Adelaide. Her PhD, investigating the regulation of glucocorticoids in inflammation, was awarded in 2017 with a Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. She has a keen interest in disorders of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.
Marni continues post-doctoral research as a Mary Overton Fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She is a Nuclear Medicine Therapy Fellow at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She visits Keswick, Victor Harbour and Port Lincoln with Endocrine Consultants SA. She also consults at Nunkuwarrin Yunti indigenous health service in Adelaide.
